
Attention Deficit Disorder & Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), also known as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), is a neurobehavioral disorder which affects approximately 3-5% of American children. Symptoms and features of ADD/ADHD may include inattention, hyperactivity, disorganization, and poor impulse control, but an evaluation by a trained professional is necessary for an accurate diagnosis.
Treatment often includes a combination of medication and therapy, and it’s possible to learn and develop ways to help manage symptoms, there is no “cure” for ADD/ADHD.
